The Centaurs are a proud and adventurous people, wide ranging in their travels.  Legend has it that the first Centaur so desired to find and cross the most distant grayspans, that he beseeched a wizard to magically bond him with his horse.  True tale or not, it is fact that among their folk, the wisest and strongest of them, the Bowmasters, can split a feather floating in mid-air from a range of a hundred paces.
